North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson and his family took advantage of the weekend’s good weather to explore the town centre’s much anticipated new Wharf Green Market.
There had been calls over the last few years for a market provision in the Town Centre – and thanks to inSwindon BID and £100,000 Government investment, a new market opened in the Wharf Green area of the town centre.
Justin and his family visited the market to peruse the various items on offer; which ranged from jewellery, candles, baklava and pastries and fresh meat.
Justin said: “It is great to see the market up and running, I know that residents have been keen to see it return. I am a huge champion of town centres and smaller retailers, so I was delighted to show my support. The sheer variety of items was fantastic to see, and I hope people continue to get behind the market.”
