North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson joined Stratton St Margaret branch of the Royal British Legion to see the unveiling of a new mural to commemorate those who lost their lives in conflict.
The mural was painted by local artist Sarah Harris on the Stratton Royal British Legion Hall on St Phillips Road, and was unveiled as part of the Remembrance Day celebrations.
The mural was made possible thanks to a £800 donation from Becky Hillier of Hillier Funeral Services to mark the businesses 100th anniversary.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “The mural is a fantastic way of remembering and honouring the mean and women who gave their lives in service of their country. It is a beautiful mural and will serve as a reminder of their sacrifice for many years to come.”
