North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson, was amongst the 20,000 Swindon Town fans who made the journey down the M4 for the League One play-off final last Sunday. Despite a disappointing result for The Robins, Justin has congratulated the players, staff and most importantly the supporters, for a strong season at the Country Ground.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "There is nothing like watching your team at Wembley. Although the result in the end was extremely hard to accept, the day itself was still memorable. Whether its the sea of red scarves along the motorway, the fantastic atmosphere in the stadium or the excitement of both sets of fans - it was fantastic to see our town come together. Football can be a cruel game but the fans, players and staff who make Swindon such a fantastic football club deserve much credit for this last season. Here's to the next one where we can give promotion another go!"
