North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has called on the Government to make progress on its leasehold reform promises.
Justin, along with a number of other MPs, wrote to Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, to follow through on the Government's commitment to ban the sale of new leasehold homes.
Justin Tomlinson MP said:
"The Government is bringing forward the first comprehensive reform of leasehold for 20 years.
I have joined other MPs in calling for the end of “fleecehold” on unadopted, private estates. Calling for reforms to empower residents on existing fleecehold estates, and scrapping this model on new estates going forward.
It is vital we stick up for all residents affected by this issue."
