Justin Continues Work To Promote Global Education Campaign In Local Schools

Over 4,000 shools across the UK have made it their aim to speak to their MP about what world leaders need to do to get every child across the globe into school. This comes before a large UN summit in New York this September where a new set of sustainable goals are agreed relating to the Global Campaign for Education.

As the former chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Global Education, as well as the local MP, Justin was invited to Haydonleigh Primary School to receive the messages for world leaders that the pupils had worked on. He spoke of the importance of education to the pupils and encouraged the pupils to continue campaigning and speaking up for the importance of education.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "I have taken an active part in the campaign for global education over a number of years now and have hosted the Global Partnership for Education in Parliament many times. That’s why I am delighted to see that local young people are also getting involved. The messages created by the pupils at Haydonleigh are both inspiring and encouraging, and we need schools across the country to get in touch with their elected representatives to keep this issue at the top of the global agenda, just like youngsters are doing here in Swindon."
