North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has joined local business owners Howard & Paulyne Griffiths to officially open the newest branch of the The Carpet Shop.
The Carpet Shop, run by husband-and-wife team Howard and Paulyne with their son Thomas, opened up their first store in West Swindon ten years ago. Since then it has grown and they have now chosen to expand the business with a store in the Northern Sector at the Orbital Shopping Park.
Justin, who has his community office on the Orbital site, is a former small business owner himself and has been working with Ministers to secure additional support SMEs.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I was delighted to help open the newest branch of this fantastic local family business. It’s great to see Swindon businesses being supported by the park and I wish the Griffiths family the best of luck with their latest venture.”
Howard Griffiths said: “We’re so proud to be expanding the family business and, with no other carpet stores close by, Orbital is the ideal spot for us to be opening our next store. We pride ourselves on our first-class service, from selection through to fitting, and we can’t wait to meet all of our customers in the coming weeks.”
