Justin Tomlinson faced a grilling from budding journalists during a visit to Even Swindon Primary School which also saw the local MP help to choose the school's new Head Girl and Head Boy.
The school runs its own radio station, Chugging Tunes, where students learn how a studio operates and conduct interviews. Justin was on hand to answer questions on his role as an MP and what he was doing to support people across North Swindon.
During the visit, Justin also helped to interview students who had been nominated for the important roles of Head Girl and Head Boy. Following a tough set of interviews the panel selected a Head Girl and Head Boy, as well as their Deputies, who will represent the school over the course of the school year starting in September.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was fantastic to visit Even Swindon School and meet with so many enthusiastic students. The quality of the candidates for the roles of Head Girl and Head Boy was extremely high and it was an incredibly tough decision to make. I also really enjoyed working with the school's journalists on their latest radio broadcast. There are quite a few budding Jeremy Paxman's and Cathy Newman's supporting the station who I know will go on to do great things!"
