Justin Helps Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of Mental Health Charity TWIGS

North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has joined local mental health charity TWIGS to celebrate their 20th Anniversary.

TWIGS is a fantastic local charity that supports up to 110 people with mental health conditions a year by offering therapeutic activities in horticulture, woodcrafts and crafts to help people recovering from mental health issues gain new skills.

The tea party was an excellent opportunity to celebrate TWIGS’ success over the past twenty years and consider their plans for the future including developing financial sustainability; expanding the training on offer and, excitingly, starting a service for people with dementia.

Justin Tomlinson MP said “TWIGS is a fantastic local group and the service clearly makes a difference to users’ lives. I am proud to have supported TWIGS and its sister project, The Olive Tree Café, for many years as the MP, former Minister for Disabled People and local resident. The new service for people with dementia sounds like an excellent idea and I look forward to supporting it in the future.”
