Local MP Justin Tomlinson has met with volunteers at the Western Community Centre in Ferndale to give his thoughts on what can be done to fully maximise the use of the centre by local residents and community groups.
The Community Centre was first opened in 1983 and has been used by residents in the Rodbourne Cheney area ever since. The site caters to a variety a different groups and includes four different community spaces as well as a kitchen facility.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It was good to meet with Glinn Hambridge, the volunteer operator of the centre, and have the opportunity to discuss what can be done to best maintain the centre going forward, including maximising the number of groups who make use of its facilities. I look forward to working with Glinn in the coming months to promote the Community Centre as a great place for any group to make use of.”
