North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson joined Cllr David Renard, the Leader of Swindon Borough Council, at the latest Business West Q&A breakfast event.
Business West aims to bring together leaders to create a prosperous region where businesses and communities thrive and was hosted by Arkells Brewery, based in Upper Stratton.
Justin covered the current economic challenges and global inflationary situation, before taking questions on the NHS, GPs, sewage discharges into rivers, the wider UK economy and upcoming challenges, train services/passenger numbers, the asylum system and channel crossings, and skills employers want/unemployment rates.
The event then received an update from Cllr Renard on the local work Swindon Borough Council are doing - covering highways projects, the town centre works, the old Honda site, and house building projects (including Wichelstowe).
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was great to attend the latest Business West breakfast and hear firsthand the concerns of local businessmen and women, as well as answer their questions on the work the Government is doing."
