Local MP Justin Tomlinson and his wife Kate supported a fundraising evening to raise money for Gloucester House in Highworth.
Gloucester House is a Rehabilitation Centre run by The Salvation Army, which offers residential care and support for men with drug & alcohol addictions. Its residents receive a 12 week programme which includes accommodation and provides occupational support and life skills, as well as additional support – such as resettlement assistance for residents once they complete the program.
The evening was hosted by the Friends of Gloucester House and there were many former residents who came along to share their stories and explain how Gloucester House had transformed their lives. Held at Wrag Barn, there was a raffle and auction, and overall the evening raised well over £3,000.
