Justin Joins Hanover House Residents For Special Coffee Morning

Justin Tomlinson MP was invited to speak at a special coffee morning at Hanover House in Highworth where he spoke about his journey into politics and gave a behind the scenes description of what it’s really like in the House of Commons.

Justin told those attending about his journey into politics and how it was not what you would typically expect from a Member of Parliament - via a school that was bottom of the league tables and where opportunities were scarce.

During the visit, Justin also took questions from residents, including several about Britain’s membership of the European Union. The North Swindon MP believes that the public is long overdue a say on Europe and that it is not democratic that unelected bureaucrats continue to impose rules on the British justice system.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was a real pleasure to meet with the residents of Hanover House to talk about my role as the local MP and to discuss the genuine concerns raised by those present; particularly with regards to the European Union. I am in favour of holding a referendum on our EU membership and am pleased that the Conservative Party will offer this in our manifesto - unlike Labour - and David Cameron is already working to tackle many of the issues raised by residents.”
