North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson joined girls from Kingsdown School as they took part in the FA’s biggest ever football session.
Over 465,000 girls from 5000 schools across England took part in a lunchtime football session as part of the FA’s Let Her Play Campaign, which aims to give all girls equal access to football.
To support the campaign Justin visited Kingsdown School to watch a lunchtime game of football organised by PE teacher Paige Foot for Year 7 & 8 girls.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “In recent years we have seen the success of England’s Lionesses translate in to more and more girls taking up football, so it is important that schools support this uptake and create the next generation of Lionesses.
It was brilliant to join the girls and I was very impressed by their skills on show.”
