A host of Swindon businesses were gathered at the Marriot Hotel last week to hear from North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson who provided an update on the economy, business and Brexit.
The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce who hosted the event which was kindly sponsored by Barclay’s, represents a number of member companies including BMW, Thames Water, GWR and Zurich. The Chamber’s vision for Swindon is that the location will continue to be an innovative and growing economy where businesses are well-connected, surviving and thriving, with affordable transport infrastructure; which is a great place for business start-up and growth with an international reputation as a centre of innovation.
Justin provided a local update on his work engaging with local businesses, pushing for town centre regeneration and supporting business growth as well as an outline of the nation picture including our record employment, ambitious apprenticeship programme and opportunities post Brexit.
