North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson joined The Ridge Coffee club to support Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s biggest coffee morning.
The Ridge Coffee club consists of a group of local residents who meet at The Jovial Monk pub to organise a number of events which raise money for good causes. Earlier this year Justin joined the club to unveil a new defibrillator outside the Jovial Monk, for which its members raised an impressive £2,500.
Macmillan’s coffee morning encourages people across the country to sell cakes and cups of tea to raise money for its work supporting people who have been affected by cancer.
Justin said: “I am always very impressed by the coffee club and the energy its members put into fundraising. The work Macmillan Cancer Support does to help people going through cancer is vital, and I was very happy to support such a fantastic cause.”
