Justin Meets Ministerial Disability Champions

In his capacity as Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work, and on behalf of the Prime Minister, Justin chairs regular meetings of the Ministerial Disability Champions.

Each ministerial department has a Disability Champion to discuss and understand how they can include people with disabilities in each Government department. Justin chaired the latest meeting to hear how their department is working to support people with disabilities.

Representatives included fellow Swindon MP Robert Buckland on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, as well as Julia Lopez MP representing the Cabinet Office; Victoria Prentis MP on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food Rural Affairs; and Johnny Mercer MP to represent the Ministry of Defence.

Justin said: “Ministers continue to show their personal commitment to championing inclusivity & delivering practical changes for disabled people through the forthcoming National Strategy for Disabled People, and I will continue to ensure that each Government department is doing their bit to support disabled people.”
