Justin Tomlinson MP has met with several of Swindon's education and skills providers to discuss the positive work they do to develop the skills of young adults, and their thoughts on how the Government can develop skills training in the year to come.
During the meeting providers, Soloman Training, Green Labyrinth and Inner Flame, explained how they are seeing a rise in the number of people taking courses to gain new qualifications, as well as those building on their current skills. Each of the providers explained how their work to support young people and those out of work is changing lives and creating opportunities. In addition, the organisations explained how the Government can adapt the system to further small businesses across Swindon.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It is fantastic to hear that so many people are taking advantage of the excellent programmes on offer in Swindon to gain new qualifications or re-skill. Providers such Soloman Training, Green Labyrinth and Inner Flame are just three of many organisations across Swindon who are helping to turn lives around and these groups have some excellent ideas on how we can improve the system further; allowing us to support even more individuals and small businesses across our town."
