Justin Meets With Nova Hreod Students To Discuss Global Education Campaign

Justin Tomlinson MP has visited pupils at Nova Hreod to discuss the important "100 Million Campaign" which calls for a world where all young people are free, safe and educated.

The visit was part of the Back to School initiative where students prepared and delivered a brilliantly informed presentation on the importance of global education and the challenges facing every country which sees this as a top priority.

Justin, who has chaired the All Party Parliamentary Group for Global Education and hosted the Global Partnership for Education in Parliament a number of times, discussed the issues with a very receptive audience to their cause and offered to make joint representations to Ministers at the Department for International Development ahead of the Global Education conference; thus ensuring that the pupils' voices are heard at the very top levels of Government.

The North Swindon MP also enjoyed a good catch up with the staff at Nova Hreod who continue to share their passion for learning and driving up standards; something that has been demonstrated in their increasingly improved results and reports.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It is always great to visit Nova and catch up with Mr Barton. It was a really brilliant presentation from Katie, Liam, Katie-May & Isobel, and I look forward to sharing their views on the campaign for global education with the Minister.”
