North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson, has thanked hardworking Royal Mail staff for their efforts during the festive period whilst on a visit to the Hawksworth Delivery Office.
Over the festive period, Royal Mail staff across the country are expected to process more than three millions items of post and delivery offices will take on an additional 21,000 staff to help keep-up with demand. During the vistit, Justin saw first-hand how the delivery office at Hawksworth operates and how staff ensure that the large volume of letters and parcels make it to the right address, on time.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "As Christmas approaches, it's important that we recognise local Royal Mail staff, who work hard all-year-round. Christmas is a particularly busy time of year for Royal Mail staff and it was fantastic to meet those who ensure our letters and parcels are delivered on time, and see first-hand how Hawksworth operates"
