Justin Praises Nationwide's Innovative New Building

Nationwide Building Society’s new multi-million pound investment in Swindon has officially been opened by North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson.

Justin opened Nationwide’s new Ramsbury House Building during a special event at its Kembrey Business Park home.

The new building will hold up to 700 people from Nationwide’s digital community, and will offer a state-of-the-art working environment – including a gym, cycle park and a ‘town hall space.’

The society was keen to ensure that consideration had been given to supporting staff with disabilities or health conditions, with a supportive, flexible working environment – something Justin has been call on all employees to do.

Nationwide has a strong relationship with Swindon, with 6,500 employees in the town. The company supported Swindon College’s bid for funding to create the Swindon Institute of Technology, and recently secured permission for the Oakfield Campus, a multi-million-pound not-for-profit regeneration project.

Justin Tomlinson said: “This multi-million-pound investment demonstrates Nationwide’s continuing commitment to Swindon. I have visited many head offices, but I was genuinely blown away by the innovation and creativity of the design and layout. This is increasingly important within the workplace, as Nationwide seeks to recruit and retain the best staff.”
