North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson spoke of his pride as he paid tribute on behalf of residents in North Swindon to those who gave their lives in service to Britain.
Justin laid a wooden cross in the Royal British Legion Constituency Garden of Remembrance at the Houses of Parliament. MPs from across the counrty visit the garden to lay a cross on behalf of their constituents as an act of rememberence for those who serve, or have served, in His Majesty’s Armed Forces.
This is the third year of the Constituency Garden of Remembrance, inaugurated by the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, in a ceremony on Monday, 6th November.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "I was very proud to lay the cross on behalf of Swindon residents and pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country - it is vital their service and sacrifice is never forgotten. For everything they sacrificed, we are forever grateful."
