North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson received his first dose of Covid vaccine as the UK’s vaccine rollout enters Phase Two.
Justin received his vaccine following the news that the second phase of the vaccine roll out had began, with people aged between 45-49 years old able to book a vaccination appointment.
The vaccine was given at Swindon’s Steam Museum Vaccination Centre – which Justin visited in February. Justin chatted to staff and volunteers at the centre and thanked them for their hard work with chocolates.
Justin said: “Getting the vaccine brings a huge amount of relief - not only I am I protected against Covid, but the chance of transmitting it to my family or anyone else is now far smaller. It is so important that people get the vaccine when their time comes, it really is the way to get back to normality. The process and service at the Steam centre is exemplary, and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved.”
