Justin Supports MS Therapy Centre Through Charity Collection

Local MP Justin Tomlinson has supported the Swindon MS Therapy Centre by taking part in a charity collection last Sunday.

The Centre offers therapies, advice and support to those with multiple sclerosis and their families across the region. The centre is a hive of activity and provides a real lifeline for its members and their families, who are actively encouraged, through mutual support, to face the reality of multiple sclerosis and the possible challenges it brings.

Volunteers assembled on Sunday morning to present collection buckets to Asda customers in the hopes of raising much needed funds for the centre. As always, the people of Swindon showed their generosity as the buckets began to fill up.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “People in Swindon are always very generous when it comes to giving to charity, especially at this time of year when we spare a thought for those who are more in need than ourselves. I was delighted to take part in the charity collection and it was a good opportunity to see lots of regular faces too. Elsewhere I am hosting a fundraiser for the Prospect hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support in my office alongside the Mayor of Highworth. And of course we have had the Salvation Christmas Toy Appeal where the gifts have now been dropped off at the centre and ready to go to local social services. All in all, it’s been a positive month for local charities, but it is vital that we do this important work to support them.
