North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson attended the UK Air Ambulance annual reception; the All Party Parliamentary Group for Air Ambulances (APPGAA), which took place on the House of Commons Terrace.
It was a fantastic opportunity for Justin Tomlinson to meet the air ambulance charity within his constituency, their teams and patients that have been saved by the incredible service.
Justin praised them for their fantastic work, wishing the charities and service men and women every success for the future and their continued work for the country.
The air ambulances are predominantly funded by charities which provide a service for on average of over 70 injured or ill patients every day, indicating the importance of this funding. The patients who turned out at the event said they were so grateful for the work and standard of care they received at the traumatic times of need and encouraged awareness for the UK Air Ambulance services.
The event in Westminster demonstrates the close network between air ambulances and parliament which is necessary to raise awareness of the amazing work the service provides.
