It was an early start for local MP Justin Tomlinson has he made his annual visit to the Royal Mail sorting office in Dorcan to thank staff for their hard work over the busy Christmas period.
Over the period, Royal Mail staff are expected to process more than three million items of post across the Country, with many delivery offices taking on extra staff to deal with the demand. Justin was given the opportunity to see the high number of letters and parcels being sorted ready for delivery.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I wanted to come along as I do each year to thank the dedicated staff at Royal Mail for all of their hard work over the festive period. They work around the clock at this time to ensure that all of our cards and presents make it in time for the big day – we should all thank them for helping to spread the Christmas joy!”
Christmas deadlines for post:
