Justin Tomlinson MP Drops The Puck To Start Charity Sledge Hockey Match

Justin Tomlinson MP attended the launch of the Swindon Wildcats’ Sledge Hockey initiative and ‘dropped the puck’ to start a Charity Sledge Hockey Game to raise money for the Undentable Trust.

The Undentable Trust is a charity set up to aid servicemen and their families who have received injuries or misfortunate whilst in service. Sledge Hockey gives the opportunity for people of all abilities to take part in a fun sport on the ice, making it a perfect opportunity for injured servicemen and women to participate in a sport against and alongside their comrades. The charity match saw a team of injured servicemen representing the Undentable Trust take on a team of celebrities to raise money for the Charity.

Swindon Wildcats’ Sledge Hockey initiative adds to the community aspect of the club which is constantly growing and doing great work. It will also offer involvement opportunities for children and adults of all abilities from Swindon and the surrounding areas to become involved in a winter sport and participate with their friends and families.

Justin Tomlinson MP said “This is a fantastic initiative to give people an opportunity in this exciting new sport. I am pleased to see so many people here today supporting the initiative and cheering the teams on in their exciting match, raising money for such a worthy cause.”
