North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson will be hosting his annual Summer Activities Fair at the Orbital Shopping Park on Saturday 24th July from 10am – 1pm. The event is making a welcome return to North Swindon residents, after the fair could not be held in 2020.
The event will take place in the open space at the Orbital, alongside the play area and in front of Next and Boots. It follows the success of previous fairs which saw different organisations from across the Swindon and Wiltshire area coming together to show local parents, carers & grandparents what activities are on offer to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays.
The previous fairs have helped match a large number of local young people to new opportunities, and allowed them to take part in activities that they might not have previously considered.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I am really pleased to be bringing back my Summer Activities Fair for North Swindon families this Summer. It can be a real task to find constructive & enjoyable activities for the kids to enjoy over the summer. Luckily, we have a fantastic number of organisations in Swindon and this fair is an opportunity for parents, carers, grandparents & kids to come and see what they can get involved in. It is a week before the summer holidays begin and we have always had very good feedback from our previous fairs as people have been able to arrange summer-long childcare or several days out. So please do come along if you are looking for inspiration as to how to keep the kids occupied this summer.”
