Justin Tomlinson MP has hosted another successful Summer Activities Fair at the Orbital Shopping Park, aimed at giving local parents & carers the opportunity to find activities for the youngsters over the summer holidays.
It was the second Summer Activities Far hosted by Justin, and a number organisations had stalls at the event, including Rockstar Climbing, Draycott Sports Camp, Junior Parkrun, Just For Fun Holiday Club, Community Tennis, Swindon Supermarine, Swindon Robins and St John’s Ambulance. There were interactive games on offer included penalty shootouts, archery and pitch & putt. The face painting also proved very popular.
Justin is keen to organise this event every year in partnership with the Orbital. If you have any ideas on activities which you would like to see next year, please do get in touch and feed in your suggestions.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “The sun was shining and it was great to see all of the different organisations showcasing what they have on offer. The week before the summer holidays can often stir a bit of panic as parents are busily looking for ideas and activities that can fill up the six week holiday. These Summer Activities Fairs are organised to help local residents see what there is on locally and help provide ideas on different activities that youngsters can get involved with.”
