Local MP Justin Tomlinson made another visit for UK Parliament Week, this time to the The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
EPSRC is the main UK government agency for funding research and training in engineering and the physical sciences, investing more than £800 million a year in a broad range of subjects - from mathematics to materials science, and from information technology to structural engineering.
Justin met with employees to discuss the EPSRC’s continued engagement with Parliament and how their work contributes towards influencing Government policy. He also handed out prizes to the winners of the Parliament quiz.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “Swindon is very proud to be the home of the Research Councils, including the EPSRC who are helping the UK to lead the way when it comes to innovation and research. It was great to visit, talk to the staff, and hand out the prizes to the winners of the hotly contested Parliament quiz!”
