Justin Tomlinson MP, Honourary President of the Swindon British Heart Foundation, joined the Mayor of Swindon to inaugrate a project to promote healthy living and a healthy heart. The Swindon Tamil Association won the opportunity to host the project in a competition by using the South Indian Dance (Bharathanatyam) as a form of exercise.
The audience joined Anusha Subramanyam in her demonstration of dance before Dr Shymala Ratnanandan and Dr Michael Natarajan explained the importance of healthy living and healthy eating.
Justin Tomlinson MP said "I am delighted to support this excellent project. It is vital that we make people aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle to maintaining a healthy heart. Different forms of exercise like the fantastic dancing we've seen today is a great way of doing that."
