North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has had an in-depth discussion with local representatives from the political campaigning group 38 Degrees.
The residents, who are members of the organisation which sends out regular political campaign emails, came to lobby Justin regarding certain areas of the upcoming Brexit process.
There was common agreement over certain areas as well as healthy debate over others! The meeting focused around the ‘DIY Brexit Toolkit’ that 38 Degrees members are currently shaping, highlighting particular issues including the NHS, the economy, and the environment.
The meeting was held at Justin's community office on the Orbital Shopping Park, where Justin meets with residents every day to discuss a whole range of local and national issues.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “When local residents come to me to discuss national or local issues, it is one of my favourite parts of the job. We pop the kettle on, ensure that there is plenty of time and just have an informal discussion where everybody can share their views. Whilst we might not always agree, I believe that it is crucially important that MPs engage, listen and debate with the very people they are there to represent.”
