It was a great pleasure to help officially open the brand new Highworth Community Centre on the site of the former Northview Primary School in Highworth.
It is amazing to think a community the size of Highworth only had a community room, so it is a real credit to the fantastic vision, drive and enthusiasm of the Highworth Community Association, a group of seven trustees, who have worked tirelessly for the past nine months to reopen the school as a community centre for the town.
It was a real pleasure to see the fruition of the all the hard work and many of the various groups and organisations who will be making sure the community centre is a thriving with hour’s activity and fun and judging by how excited and proud the Highworth Town Mayor, Maureen Penny was, I have no doubt it will be a huge success!
