Justin Tomlinson MP Praises Npower’s ‘Health Through Warmth’ Scheme

North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson has highlighted the impact of Npower’s 'Health Through Warmth' scheme. 

The scheme is geared toward providing improved heating systems for people with long term illnesses, who are most susceptible to the cold. The scheme addresses the problem that people who live with many long term illnesses have, that in order to keep their homes at a constant temperature, they have higher heating and electricity bills. The Health Through Warmth scheme also provides funding for better insulation in older houses.

The scheme funds people with long-term illnesses who own and occupy a home in England or Wales. They must have a low income and little or no savings, which are assessed by Npower. The scheme is open to non-Npower customers.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I support Npower's efforts with this scheme; it is important that as we continue through the winter period we have a plan for people who depend on their heating systems all year so they won’t be disadvantaged.”
