Justin Tomlinson MP Supports Scouts’ Christmas Post

Justin Tomlinson MP will be supporting the Swindon Scout Christmas Post again this year by selling stamps and opening up his community office as a make-shift sorting office.

The Scout’s Christmas Post delivers Christmas cards every year in Swindon and the surrounding villages. Local residents buy special stamps for their Christmas cards, which are then posted in the special green post-boxes. The scouts then sort the cards and deliver them in time for Christmas.

The money raised from the sale of the stamps will go towards local Scout Groups and their work helping local young people develop skills and take parts in a range of activities.

At 30p, the Scout stamps are less than half the cost of a First Class stamp; meaning you can save money while supporting a good cause.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I think this is a wonderful initiative. I really enjoy supporting the Scouts Post and I know they work incredibly hard on this project. Christmas is an expensive time of year and this presents an opportunity to save a few pennies, while also supporting a fantastic cause.”

The last post for Christmas cards is 4pm on Tuesday 12 December. Once all the cards have been collected they will be sorted at Justin’s community office, ready to be delivered in time for Christmas.

Stamps can be bought from Justin’s office: First Floor, Customer Service Hub, Orbital Shopping Centre, Swindon, SN25 4AN. Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM.
