Justin Tomlinson MP today urged Swindon employers and their apprentices to enter the National Apprenticeship Awards 2012.

Hosted by the National Apprenticeship Service, the prestigious Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the exceptional quality and standards being delivered by the country’s top apprentices and their employers in the work place today.

The Awards seek to recognise achievement in the following categories:

Employers: Small Employer of the Year, Medium Employer of the Year, Large Employer of the Year and Macro Employer of the Year.

Apprentices: Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, Advanced Apprentice of the Year, Higher Apprentice of the Year and Apprenticeship Champion of the Year (for success following an apprenticeship).

Justin Tomlinson MP said “As a former small business owner, I grew my business with the help of apprenticeships and know the value they can bring to both employer and apprentice.

“I urge Swindon’s employers and apprentices to enter these Awards as it is a unique opportunity to share this value and to recognise Swindon’s hard work and achievements on a national level. I know of the excellent apprentices and employers in Swindon, supporting events like the local McDonalds Apprentices Awards night. It would be great if we could chare some of our successes with the rest of the country.”

You can enter the awards now online http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/Awards/NationalApprenticeshipAwards.aspx

The deadline for entry is 5pm on the 25th May 2012. The winners will be announced on the 14th November at the Skills Show in Birmingham.
