Justin Tomlinson MP with pupils at Colebrook Infant Academy
Justin Tomlinson MP today visited Colebrook Infant Academy in Coleview to look round the school and meet with staff and pupils.
Justin met with Head, Linda Rankin, to discuss the benefits Colebrook is already experiencing having become an Academy last year.
He also joined staff on their quick morning coffee break, many of whom have given many years teaching at Colebrook, talking to them about the history of the school and their thoughts on its bright future as an Academy.
This was followed by a tour of the school, meeting the pupils and talking to them about their favourite part of school. The pupils have been working on a medieval history project, learning about how people lived in medieval times. Justin also talked to a class who were talking about leaders and government and the sorts of qualities they require.
Justin Tomlinson MP said “I was delighted to visit this excellent Infant Academy and meet the staff and young pupils. I was struck by the length of service the staff have given the school. This just shows their dedication to the children and the community and I think this is reflected in the friendliness and enthusiasm of Colebrook’s pupils.”
