Justin Tomlinson MP joined Stratton St Margaret Councillors John Haines and Colin Lovell on a visit to Stratton Churchway Bowls Club.
The Club was hosting an open evening, where anyone who fancied it could come along, give bowls a try and meet Club members. Justin, John and Colin got stuck in, with members passing on helpful tips on bowls techniques.
It was also an opportunity for Justin to see the changes the club would like to make in their sumbission for Sport England funding. Justin discussed with Alan Gough the plans to rebuild the changing rooms and improve access to the Clubhouse and the difference these alterations would make to the Club and its members.
Justin Tomlinson MP said "I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Stratton Churchway Bowls and to see first hand the real benefits that the funding would bring to the Club. The members were very welcoming and I wish the Club success with their application to Sport England. I certainly will be supporting it."
