Justin Tomlinson MP Welcomes Students From Nova Hreod To Parliament

North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has welcomed students from Nova Hreod School to Parliament to learn more about his role as their MP.

Around 30 students from the North Swindon secondary school visited Westminster as part of a visit organised by the Parliament Education Service, which introduces young people to politics and the political process.

Students enjoyed a tour of both the House of Commons & House of Lords, before they got a chance to quiz Justin on a number of different issues. They were also able to benefit from a new immersive experience in Parliament which explains the vital campaign that took place 100 years ago which saw women secure the right to vote for the first time.

Justin took a wide range of questions from the pupils on issues from Brexit to climate change and transport. He also took the opportunity to explain what he does as a fellow North Swindon resident to represent them in Parliament.

The North Swindon MP regularly visits all of the schools across the constituency, conducting enjoyable & interactive assemblies where students get the opportunity to pass their own School Parliamentary Bill.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "I was delighted to be able to welcome the students from Nova to Parliament so that they could learn more about the work I do to represent them and to see up close how Parliament works. I was particularly pleased to be able to take so many interesting questions."
