Justin Tomlinson MP with the Swindon 105.5, Mr Wiggles and Swindon NSPCC teams
Justin Tomlinson MP today joined the Swindon NSPCC at local radio station Swindon 105.5 to see the presentation of a cheque for £1492.
The money was raised by local film, Mr Wiggles, a short film that follows the story of a young girl, Amber, who during troubling times escapes with her teddy bear Mr Wiggles, who was given to her by her older brother Nathan. Amber has a vivid imagination that takes her to places of fantasy and comfort. Nathan, a few years older, has a more cynical view of the world but always looks out for his sister. The bond between them is boundless, but for Amber and Nathan, it’s only a matter of time before reality catches up.
The film was made by Swindon film company Infinite 8 Productions, in association with DogtaG Films and Wootton Bassett based Dreambase Studios, and recently enjoyed its premiere at the Empire Cinema in Greenbridge.
Justin Tomlinson MP said "It is fantatsic that the excellent local film, Mr Wiggles, not only has been a success in itself, but has also brought this great support for the Swindon NSPCC. The local charity do stirling work in Swindon, supporting our vulnerable young people and I am sure that this will provide a real boost. I am delighted that the film has raised so much money for the charity, and I wish the team behind it every success for the future."
