Justin Tomlinson MP has visited Swindon Open Studios at Every Cloud Tearoom in Stanton as part of the wider community art event which is taking place across town.
Open studios involves artists from Swindon and surrounding areas open their homes, studios or community venues as pop-up art exhibitions throughout September. It is a unique opportunity for local residents to visit different venues and look at some wonderful artwork.
Every Cloud is a volunteer run charity which offers activities, events and services involving art for all ages, and mental well-being support for the community.
The artists exhibiting were inspired by nature creating in a range of mediums including painting, printmaking, photography, fused glass, felted and textile art.
Justin has been a long-standing supporter of Every Cloud, having helped them secure the venue at Stanton Park. He brought his family along to enjoy the artwork and explore the grounds of the tearoom.
Justin commented, “Stanton Park is a much-loved destination and Every Cloud have done a wonderful job of utilising this beautiful country park to support the community and transform an old derelict building into a thriving, artistic venue. Swindon Open Studios is a fantastic initiative to showcase some of Swindon’s brilliant talent and artwork.”
