North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson visited Kingsdown School to see first-hand the improvements the school has made in the last two years.
Justin met with Headteacher Mrs Leigh-Bennett and Chair of Governors Lynne Scragg, along with the current Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl, to catch up and hear about the latest developments at the school.
During the visit Justin also received a tour of the school from Ms Leigh-Bennett, who outlined to Justin the positive changes she has made in her first two years at the school – which includes tackling attendance issues, improving early intervention, and investing in upgrades to the school facilities.
Justin Tomlinson said: “I very much enjoyed meeting the school’s Senior Team, as well as the student representatives - who were brilliant advocates for the school. I was pleased to see so much positive progress in recent years which shone through on my tour and with their recent GCSE results”
