North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson was delighted to visit Westwire Harnessing today to meet with Martin Kirkham (Managing Director), Glenn Whyte (Quality Manager), and Gary Cotton (Operations Manager).
After an informative presentation detailing the background of Westwire, their acquisition by SASMOS, and plans for future growth, Justin was taken on a tour of the site – getting the opportunity to discuss their production processes and challenges.
Following the tour, Justin joined a zoom call with SASMOS CEO Chandra NAME, and discussed a variety of issues including challenges around recruitment, local opportunities for potential site expansions, and potential corporate social responsibility projects.
Justin Tomlinson MP said; “This was a fantastic visit to see the great work Westwire do producing a variety of cabling and box builds. I am thrilled they have chosen Swindon as their base, it is a great town with growth opportunities as they expand.”
