North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has welcomed the news that Swindon is set to benefit from £200million of Government funding for Councils across England to help tackle potholes.
As part of the funding Swindon will received £621,600 to repair potholes in Swindon roads.
The Spending Review allocated £500 million every year to the Potholes Fund, but today the Chancellor announced that he has decided to increase that fund by a further £200 million next year to help local communities tackle this problem.
The decision was made during the Government's Spring Statement Setting out the next stage of the Government’s plan to halve inflation, grow the economy and reduce debt.
