Justin Welcomes Multi-Million Pound Mead Way Improvement Announcement

North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson, has welcomed a multi-million pound investment to improve Swindon’s roads.

Mead Way will benefit from £2.5m grant from the Government’s National Productivity Investment Fund, as well as £1.5m from contributions made by developers as part of planning permissions granted in the area.

The road has suffered from congestion and delays, and the money hopes to improve this inconvenience. Work planned on the road includes improvements to two junctions and widening the road in places – full details are expected at a later date.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “This is great news for Swindon, and an investment which will hopefully benefit the whole town. We all know that these works will have a huge benefit for the town, and this significant investment from central government will allow our town to grow and keep moving.”
