Justin Welcomes New Sunday Opening For Royal Mail Delivery Office

North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has welcomed Royal Mail's announcement that they will extend their opening hours for the Swindon delivery office.

From Sunday 30^th July, the Swindon Delivery Office will permanently open on Sundays for customers to collect their undelivered mail items. The opening times will be between 11am and 3pm, and extends Royal Mail’s flexibility to Swindon.

Justin has visited the Swindon Delivery Office on a number of occasion to thank staff for their hard work over the Christmas periods. Justin has also met with senior managers from the Post Office to discuss its work in Swindon and across the country, ensuring access for everybody.

Royal Mail has a network of around 1,200 Delivery Offices which are open six days a week, with around half of these open later on Wednesday evenings for customers to collect or drop off items.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to hear that Royal Mail are extending the times at the Swindon Delivery Office to include being open on Sundays. I know from my own experience how annoying it can be when you just miss that parcel on a Saturday and have to wait until Monday to pick it up, so I’m pleased that going forward this will give local residents more choice.”
