Local MP, Justin Tomlinson, has welcome students from Oakhurst Primary School to Westminster to learn about how Parliament works and to tour the Palace of Westminster.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to tour Parliament before enjoying an education session on Parliament and how it affects everything in their day-to-day lives. Previously, Justin has visited Oakhurst Primary School to give an assembly on his role as the local MP and as part of the session, he gave students the opportunity to pass their very own law (an opportunity he has provided for every primary school in North Swindon).
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was fantastic to welcome Oakhurst Primary School to Parliament and to talk them about my role as their MP. Having previously visited the school to give an assembly on how Parliament works and witnessed just how knowledgeable the students are, it was a delight to see the students enjoy their visit".
