Superman & Elsa were amongst many of the guests to join Justin’s 4th annual summer activities fair as it returned to the Orbital Shopping Park.
With many businesses being significantly affected by COVID, this year’s fair was an important opportunity for them to speak to families and let them know that they were ready to welcome them back.
A number of different groups and organisation were represented at the fair, including Rockstar Climbing, Swindon and Cricklade Railway, Swindon Libraries, Every Cloud Arts, Kidz About, Haydon Wick Parish Council, Swindon Lightning Cheerleaders, and Swindon Supermarine.
There were a number of games and activities at the fair, such as supersized Jenga from Haydon Wick Parish Council; Swindon and Cricklade Railway’s guess the name of the teddy; some craft activities from Every Cloud; and an opportunity to meet Superman and Elsa from frozen thanks to Kidz About. British Land, who run the Orbital Shopping Park, were also kind enough to provide free face-painting for the children.
The feedback from the event was very positive, with parents saying they appreciated seeing organisations they might not have heard of before.
Justin Tomlinson Said “I was very disappointed that the Summer Activities Fair couldn’t go ahead last year, but I am delighted that it is back. I am very grateful to the organisations who came and highlighted the fantastic opportunities they have over the summer. Many businesses and organisations have had a very difficult year due to COVID and hope the Summer Activities Fair was a good opportunity to let people know they were back open for business. It was great to see families enjoying the activities, I’m already looking forward to next year’s event.”
