Local MP Attends Switch On To Swindon Event

 
Local MP Justin Tomlinson has joined ambassadors from 'Switch On To Swindon' for an event geared at updating local businesses on the progress made so far by the initiative.

The aim of 'Switch On To Swindon is to promote the town as a great place to live, work and visit in order to encourage other businesses to come to the town and invest in it. The event started in January and has already signed up almost 450 ambassadors from Swindon. But now the job is to get out there and persuade others from outside of Swindon, to come and invest in Swindon.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “Swindon has so much to offer and was recently ranked 5^th in the UK Cities Financial Powerhouse league table. We also have good quality, affordable housing; we enjoy a fantastic location; we have a proud industrial heritage and we have lots of welcoming communities. The list could go on. So far Switch On To Swindon have signed up a number of local ambassadors and supporters within the local area as well as created some impressive marketing material and branding. But they now need to focus on going to every corner of the country to spread the word and tell everybody what a fantastic place Swindon is to live and work in.”
