Local MP Champions Government Support For Retail

Local MP and Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Retail, Justin Tomlinson, has met with Tesco staff from across the globe in Westminster as part of the company's drive to promote the British company around the world.

More than twenty members of the company's 'Advanced Leadership Programme' from as far afield as South Korea, China and Thailand, visited Parliament as part of a scheme to develop the retailers presence overseas. 

Justin spoke to the group about how he became involved in politics, his passion for retail & business and highlighted the similarities between retail and politics. In addition, the group discussed how governments work with businesses of all sides to ensure growth and deliver jobs through new investment opportunities.
