Local MP Justin Tomlinson has met with representatives from the Coalition for Global Prosperity to discuss how the United Kingdom can improve targeting support for the most vulnerable around the world.
The Coalition for Global Prosperity brings together political, military, business and faith leaders to improve the way Britain helps in saving lives, alleviating poverty, delivering security and creating prosperity around the globe.
In recent years, the Government has helped to support the most vulnerable around the world by tackling diseases including Ebola, Zika & Cholera, as well as helping to educate millions of people in developing nations - a step which will allow these countries to grow and trade with the United Kingdom.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "We have to ensure that we target the support we provide in the best way so that it reaches the most vulnerable around the world. I was pleased to be able to discuss how improving this process will help in saving lives, alleviating poverty, delivering security and creating prosperity around the globe."
